Rambagh Palace Hotel, Jaipur has been the home to generation of the royal kings of Jaipur for nearly 2 centuries. Built in 1835 for the queen’s favorite handmaiden Kesar Badaran, the palace was later transformed as a royal guest house and hunting lodge. In 1925, Rambagh was converted into a palace and became the residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur. In 1957 the palace was converted into a luxury hotel by Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II. Later on 1972 that Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces took over the reins. It is now one of the authentic palaces of the Taj Group in India.
